01. Getting started with VORA CELL

A spreadsheet editor for cells, formulas, tables, charts, and pivots. Review calculations alongside their source data in one workbook.

Download and install the app for your OS (macOS, Windows, or Linux) from VORA WORKS to edit documents and save locally without an internet connection. Check the download page for each product’s release and download availability.

Sign up for the free VORA service

Start a blank document or open a file from the File menu. Starting from VORA chat can carry your request and selected references into an AI-enabled session.

02. Launch with @voracell or open the app directly

03. Auto mode: background generation

Send @voracell with your topic or attachment and ask for background generation. This delegates creation and XLSX saving without walking through the editor.

Background results are saved on VORA’s AI Creations page. An acceptance notice is different from completion; open the saved file to review its content and layout.

1. @voracell : How competitive is Tesla in its industry? Turn the attached competitor metrics into a table and chart, retaining a source column. Generate it in the background.
2. @voracell : Use the attached facts and figures to prepare a summary, comparison, and next actions in the background.
3. @voracell : Use the comparison table and conclusion above to create an English deliverable in the background. Label unverified information.

• Compare figures, names, dates, and sources with the originals.
• Check clipping, overlap, table wrapping, formulas, and fonts.
• Refine the result in the editor and save a final copy.

07. Writing a useful request

State what to create, who it is for, and its format and length. Identify values, tables, or terminology to keep, the scope to change, and how to handle missing evidence.

08. Cells, sheets, and the formula bar

Check the cell address in the name box and edit values or formulas in the formula bar. Switch sheets using the bottom tabs and use Home for number formats, alignment, and cell styles. Combine freeze panes and zoom for wide tables.

09. Selected ranges and attached data

Name the sheet and a range such as A1:E20, including headers, units, and date formats. Analysing a reference does not mean overwriting current cells. Ask for a new output sheet when the original must remain intact.

10. AI requests, application, and undo

To use connected AI, sign up for the free VORA service and launch the tool’s web version from VORA chat. Open the returned editor link and check that the AI assistant is enabled. Offline editing in an installed app, standalone web editing, the editor’s AI assistant, and background Auto mode are distinct workflows.

Launch @voracell from VORA to use the web workbook alongside the AI assistant. CELL edits actual cells, formulas, and charts with AI instead of switching to a separate Smart document screen. Distinguish requests to generate a new workbook from revisions to a selected range in an existing sheet.

1. For new data, specify columns, units, periods, and required calculations. For example: “Create a four-week launch budget: planning 100, development 300, review 150, launch 50. Calculate the total with SUM; units are ten thousand KRW.”
2. For existing data, select the sheet and range first, then state whether to preserve values, change formulas, or create a chart. Distinguish the current selection from reference attachments.
3. Review the AI proposal and application status, then inspect the actual cell values and formulas. Check totals, references, blanks, and units. Undo when needed and retry with a narrower target. Save as .vorac, XLSX, or another suitable format.

11. Write and verify formulas

Start formulas with =. In the example, B9 uses =SUM(B5:B8) to total planned spending. Check relative and absolute references, blanks, division by zero, and number/date formats. Compare a few rows with manual calculations and use Formula tools for functions, names, and errors.

12. Build charts from data ranges

Select a source range including headers and insert a chart. Check series, categories, titles, units, axes, and legends, then resize it. After changing source values, verify the chart updates as intended. Avoid mixing incompatible units on one axis.

13. Sort, filter, validation, and pivots

Use Data for sorting, filtering, removing duplicates, and validation. Select the complete table to preserve row relationships. For pivots, verify the source range and row, column, and value aggregation, then check totals and newly added data.

14. Templates and file compatibility

Use XLSX, XLSM, XLTX, or XLTM for ordinary templates and the appropriate menus for personal templates and public sharing. .vorac stores a workbook and conversation, separately from ordinary template uploads. Opening a file does not guarantee identical macro execution, external-link behaviour, or complex chart rendering.

15. Save .vorac, XLSX, and PDF

Save .vorac to keep the editable workbook, conversation, and draft input; reopening continues normal cell editing. Use XLSX for exchange, PDF for distribution, and CSV for plain data. CSV cannot preserve all sheets, charts, and formatting.
